昆明市档案学会是在中共昆明市委、市政府领导下由全市档案工作者的自愿参加组成的群众性学术团体，是云南省档案学会，昆明市社会科学界联合会的团体会员，由昆明市档案局主管，经民政局审核合格，具有法人代表资格的合法社团。
昆明市档案学会于1989年12月成立，历时四届，现有会员1200人。
学会宗旨：在马列主义、毛泽东思想和邓小平理论的指导下，团结和组织全市档案工作者，坚持四项基本原则，认真贯彻《档案法》及党和国家、省、市制定的档案工作法律、法规、解放思想、开拓进取、锐意改革、坚持“百花齐放、百家争鸣”方针，以经济建设为中心，根据档案工作的实际，积极开展档案学术研究，学术交流和咨询服务活动，为繁荣档案学和档案事业的发展，为两个文明建设贡献力量。 |
